Alpinism & Ski Ltd is a dynamic guiding company based in Wanaka, at the door step of Mount Aspiring National Park. Winter activities include backcountry ski touring and snowboarding, either locally or along the Main Divide of the Southern Alps, Mount Cook and Westland National Parks. Avalanche courses and winter mountaineering are part of the program during September and October. From November through to April are mountaineering instruction courses, guided mountain climbing of e.g. Mt Aspiring, Mt Cook and Mt Tasman, ascents trips and pure Alpinism Adventures. The 'soft' recreational guided hikes, walks and trekking excursions include the Diamond Lake loop track, Rob Roy Glac ier Cirque and/or an overnight experience to Mueller hut in Mt Cook.
